Praveen Rana Replaces Wrestler Narsingh Yadav for Rio 2016 Olympics

Recently, the WFI (Wrestling Federation of India) has announced regarding the replacement of the wrestling champion Narsingh Yadav from the upcoming Rio Summer Olympics 2016. WFI has selected the Wrestler Praveen Rana to participate at Rio representing India and this decision has been taken by the wrestling body on 26th July 2016, Tuesday.

Praveen Rana Replaces Wrestler Narsingh Yadav for Summer 2016 Olympics

Praveen Rana was a talented mat wrestler who has won gold at Dave Schultz Memorial tournament at US conducted in the month of May 2014. But as per the critics, Rana can’t match up with the acumen of Narsingh who has been selected by the WFI originally.

Narsingh Yadav Seems to be Innocent over Doping

Virtually, Narsingh has been disqualified from competing at Rio as he has been tested positive in the test of doping that was recently conducted by NADA (National Anti-Doping Agency) i.e., 3 days back. Yadav has cried plan and stated innocence. Even his colleagues at SAI (Sports Authority of India) center at Sonepat has supported the claims made by Yadav stating that someone would have adulterated the food that has been served to Yadav.

The Narsingh Yadav’s stand has been validated up to some extent after his roommate of Yadav – Sandeep Tulasi has also been found to be positive regarding the consumption the same substance that is banned which has been found in the Yadav’s blood samples too.

WFI has also backed the Narsingh Yadav with the confidence that was expressed by Brij Bhushan that this young wrestler would be found to be innocent after the investigation completes.
