Rio 2016 Olympics: Caetano Veloso, Anitta and Gilberto Gil to Perform at Opening Ceremony

According to the latest update from the official sources, it has come to know that the musical icons of the Brazil Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso and Rio pop star Anitta would be performing at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics Openings ceremony i.e., on 5th of August 2016. As per the Golobo and few other new outlets of the Brazil, the two pillars of the modern music of Brazil and the latest sensation will be the first performers that are to be unveiled by the organization of the Rio 2016. The worldwide broadcasted opening ceremony on the 5th August will be a three hour spectacular event.

Both Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil who are known to be the most esteemed artists of the country’s music are known to be the part of the artists, thinkers as well as intellectuals who are known to be the advisories for the producers of the opening ceremony.

The artistic director of the event - Daniela Thomas along with the Fernando Meirelles has told that, they need to have the largest ever party there in the Rio which have never performed in the nation.
