Rio 2016 Games: Running Track Painted with Light Blue Color Olympic Rings

One month ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympics, the preparations at the Olympic Venues are going in a fast pace. As a part of it, recently running track at one of the Olympic stadium has been painted with Olympic Rings. The five interlocking rings of the Olympics will show the union of all the five continents. These Olympic rings have been painted by an Italian person and he has been doing this same work for 18 years.

By adding these popular symbols, it will be a build-up to the beginning of the world’s supreme festival of sporting. The Olympic stadium which has been opened in the year 2007 and later renovated for the Rio Olympics will be hosting the world’s most track-and-field players from 12th of August 2016 to 21st of August 2016. This is the track where the athletes like Justin Gatlin and Usain Bolt will do everything they can in various running events and Usain Bolt has to defend his 2012 and 2008 records that he has won.

About the Running Track of Rio 2016 and Olympic Rings

The Olympic stadium running track is said to be in a deep royal blue color which will not distracts the athletes at their events. The rings of Olympics were just painted in cautious shade of the light blue and not in multi-colors.

It is said that, on Monday all the Rio 2016 athletics department first members will be relocating to that stadium. Along with them, 916 volunteers and the full time employees who have received a special training in athletics will also be working at the stadium. It is expected that a total of 2005 athletes from 205 nations will be competing in this stadium. All the equipment that will be in use in the events of track-and-field has been brought from various nations and they include the India, Germany, Sweden, Poland, Hungry, Spain, Italy and China.
