Check out Men and Women’s Beach Volleyball Schedule for Rio 2016 Olympic Games Announced

On 15th of July 2016, Friday the FIVB - The International Volleyball Federation has finally published the most awaited beach volleyball schedule for the Summer Olympic games 2016. It is known from the official sources that, from 24 various countries, a total of 96 players are going to compete in the beach volleyball tournaments that will be held at Copacabana beach which all together forms 48 women’s and men’s tournaments in this 6th edition of beach volleyball competition.

The very first tournament of the Rio 2016 beach volleyball will be held on 6th of August 2016, Saturday morning at the Copacabana beach in which the veteran Olympians Alexander Horst and Clemens Doppler of Austria will compete over with debutantes of the Italy Alex Ranghieri and Adrian Carambula. The tickets for this most exited beach volleyball tournament on the most popular beach in the world are still made available for the fans.

Beach Volleyball Tournaments at Rio for Men and Women

According to the sources, both men’s and women’s beach volleyball tournaments will be mixed through the entire 6 day group stage of the match. Totally, per each day there will be three sessions with the final match on the first five days of the group match will be held at the midnight in the beach under the floodlights.

Following the first match between Austria and Italy, the other tournaments continues and a round of 16 tournaments will be held on 12th and 13th of August which is followed by the women’s quarter-finals on 14th of August and on 15th August men’s quarter-finals will take place.

Soon after the semi-finals which will be held on 16th of August, women’s final medal matches will be held on 17th August followed by men’s medal matches on 18th August.
