Here is the good news for all the Brazilian people and the Olympic fans. As per the recent update, it is known that on 9th of August 2016, Tuesday Pele has announced that his intention for attending the Rio Closing Ceremony that would take place on 21st of August 2016 at Maracana Stadium via Twitter post. Pele’s Ill Health Condition Made Him Not Attend Rio Opening Ceremony


It has been a huge disappointment when ill soccer of the Brazil Pele would not attend the Rio 2016 Olympics Opening ceremony on Friday, when lots of people have expected that he would be taking the Olympic torch for lighting the flame on opening ceremony. But, that did not happen as he was not able to attend because of sickness. The 75 year old legend has been in poor health quite some time. Because of the urinary infection, he has been hospitalized in the year 2014 and next twice in 2015 for a surgery on his back and prostate.
