Additional 3,000 Soldiers Arranged for Rio 2016 Games To Support Security Effort at Olympics

As per the recent update from Rio 2016, defence minister named Raul Jungmann has made an announcement in Rio de Janeiro announced on 6th July 2016, Wednesday that, an extra 3000 soldiers were outlined for Rio 2016 Olympic sports in the huge security operation.

Total Working Security Personnel’s at Rio 2016 Olympic Games

It is known that, this new soldier’s troop will be protecting the main infrastructure of the city such as major roads of the city, airport and train stations. By being on patrol in few visible locations of the city, the security forces will also be working on the details of the security for the VIPs and on anti-terror operations. After adding 3000 more security officials, the armed forces number who will be present in Rio de Janeiro in the August month has exceeded from a total of 18,000 to over 21,000. Jungmann the defence minister has told that, if it is necessary they will increase the force even more.

As per the ministry of defence, Brazil nearly 6,000 soldiers were already working in the host city 28 army helicopters, 12 naval vessels and 70 armed vehicles will also be helping for making sure to have safe and secure Summer Olympics 2016. In addition to this, 20,000 soldiers will also be on duty in the other five more cities that will be hosting the Rio 2016 Olympics.

Finally, at the time of Rio Summer Olympics this year, totally 88,000 security personnel’s that includes 41,000 Armed Forces personnel and 47,000 police will be working on duty.
