Pakistan to Have More Number of Officials in Rio 2016 than Athletes

The fall for the Pakistan games will be clearly visible in the Summer Olympics 2016 sports as the Pakistan group will be including more of the officials in the Rio than the athletes from the country. With the national hockey’s team failure to qualify for the Rio Olympics, a group of 18 member team from the Pakistan will include only seven athletes and eleven officials from the country.

The list of the athletes from Pakistan to participate in the Rio Summer Olympics 2016 include the swimmers Haris Bandey and Lianna Swan who have been based abroad, shooters Ghulam Mustafa as we as Minhal Sohail, judoka Shah Hussain, who is living in Tokyo at present, and two of the sprinters. All these athletes have got chance of participating in the Rio 2016 Olympics only via the wild card entry as no athlete from the nation among various disciplines has come to the process of qualifying in the Olympics. Even a single boxer has not been qualified for the Summer Olympics this time. Last but not least, even the hockey team was not qualified for the Rio.

Pakistan Olympic Association president - Arif Hasan has blamed the sports board of the Pakistan for the bad state of the affairs. This was really a sad thing for the Pakistan. Let us wait and see what these wild card entry athletes will perform in Rio 2016.
