Canada's 8 Member Team for Rio 2016 Olympic Gymnastics Sports Finalized

On Thursday, Canada has finalized its list of five artistic gymnastics squad of women and three- trampoline member team who will be competing in the Rio 2016 Olympics. Here are the complete details of the list of Canada Gymnasts selected for the Rio 2016.

Details of Canada’s Eight Gymnasts Headed to Summer Olympics

Surrey, B.C.’ Shallon Olsen and Brossard’ Rose Woo, Que., will be joining with the Brittany Rogers, Ellie Black and Isabela Onyshko, who have been named to be the team in Gatineau, Que. at the national selection camp this Wednesday. These champions have been qualified or selected based on the total number of points that they have secured in the World Championships 2015, Canadian Championships of 2016, Elite Canada of the year 2016, international competitions that happened in the months of February and March, along with the camp of this week. The program of competition for the women artistic gymnasts includes the uneven bars, vaulting table, floor routine and beam.

Along with this, there are other men’s gymnasts who will be making their debut in the men’s artistic gymnastics and their names include the Rosie MacLennan who has won the Olympic gold medal in trampoline, the Scott Morgan who has got double gold in the commonwealth games of the year 2004 and the coming back Olympian Jason Burnett who has won the silver in 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic games. A 27-year-old MacLennan, who is the native of Toronto, has also booked his Olympic berth in the month of March with her success at the Canada Cup in Kamloops, B.C.
