USA Named its Strong Track and Field Athletes Team for Rio Games 2016

Recently, USA has named their countries Track and Field team of 126 athletes for the Rio 2016 Games. There were 5 present world champions and 5 reigning gold medalists of the Olympics among the 126 players listed out by USA. After the Olympic trials at USA have been concluded, the powerhouse of athletes has announced their powerful team for the first edition of the Olympic Games which will be held at the South America.

Star Attraction in US’s Track and Field Athletes Named for Summer Olympics 2016


The stars of attraction among the team include the Ashton Eaton and the Allyson Felix the sprinter. Ashton Eaton will be competing to become the first player to defend the decathlon title of the Olympics successfully since 1984s Daley Thompson of the Great Britain and the sprinter is a four times Olympic star who will be running in the 400m as well as 4x400m relay but not the 200m as she has out in the US Olympic trials, whereas Jenna Prandini's has finished the line stumble and won over the felix. Jenna Prandini will be in the list of 84 first times or the debutante Olympians in the team of US’s Track and Field at Rio. There are three more athletes in the list of star attraction for Rio and those athletes have won medal previously at 2012 London Olympics and they include Christian Taylor (in triple jump), Brittney Reese (in long jump) and Jenn Suhr (in pole vault).

Along with the above listed athletes, there was many other star Olympians who will be competing at Rio 2016 at the Olympic tournaments. The five reigning world champions who were named in the team as said above include the Eaton (in decathlon), Taylor (in triple jump), Felix (in 400m), Joe Kovacs (in shot put) and Tianna Bartoletta (in long jump). With this, it is known that a total of 126 track and field athletes from US will be participating at Rio de Janeiro summer Olympics 2016.
