At the age of 42 years, Jo Pavey is said to participate in her 5th Olympic Games after she has been selected or qualified for representing the GB team at the Rio 2016 Olympic sports. At this age of 42, she is known to be the oldest of British women athletes for running in to the games. In last week, the women athlete has qualified in the 10,000m qualifying match at European championship that was conducted in Amsterdam. Along with the women, all the gold medalists of the Super Saturday, Jessica Ennis-Hill who is 30, 29 years old Greg Rutherford, and Mo Farah, 33 were all qualified, whereas, the 32 year old Christine Ohuruogu who have won gold medal in the Beijing Olympics has now selected for the 400m.
All the above listed athletes have been selected among the team of 80 players who will be representing the Britain at the Rio de Janeiro August 2016 Olympics which is looking for the improvement in the medals that it has won in the 2012 Olympics.
Athletics Team Leader Shared His Reason for Selecting Pavey to Rio 2016
The team leader of the athletics - Neil Black have said to some sources that, it is important to be clear that they have selected the Jo Pavey for the Rio as she is in the form and that they believe she will be performing ay her highest level at the Rio 2016. The place of Pavey has been challenged by the Kate Avery who is 24 year old. Later Black has told that, it is really a tough thing because Kate has done all that she was asked regarding her. Black Later told that, it has took some time as well as some analysis for them, but it has been all about selecting the right person that they thought would be performing at the top level.
